Advanced LEGO Robotics SPIKE Prime (Grades 7+) in Berlin

The future belongs to young people who can move from ideas to reliable intelligent systems. SPIKE Prime gives students a rigorous bridge from block-based coding towards Python, autonomous robotics and engineering design — while strengthening judgement, resilience and the ability to build solutions that work in the real world.

What your child will learn

  • Design and program reliable autonomous robots
  • Use sensors, loops, variables and modular programs
  • Prototype, measure, test and improve using data
  • Progress from Scratch-based blocks towards Python
  • Solve competition-style missions collaboratively

Course content

Module 1. SPIKE Prime Systems

Hub, motor and sensor fundamentals, inputs, processing and outputs, precise movement and calibration, and block coding with the pathway towards Python.

Module 2. Engineering Design

Define problems and success criteria, generate and compare prototypes, test solutions using evidence, and explain why a final design is effective.

Module 3. Algorithms & Debugging

Decompose complex missions, plan actions with pseudocode, identify patterns and reusable logic, and find and fix errors systematically.

Module 4. Variables, Lists & Data

Use clearly named variables and lists, work with different data types, perform calculations on values, and collect, interpret and exchange data.

Module 5. Autonomous Robotics

Control movement using sensors, react to lines and physical objects, develop motorised tools, and build repeatable autonomous missions.

Module 6. Competition-Ready Systems

Build an advanced driving base, organise code with My Blocks and functions, refine for speed and reliability, and solve missions through effective teamwork.

Module 7. AI Foundations & Capstone

Connect sensing, data and classification ideas, progress from blocks towards Python, design an intelligent autonomous system, and present the final capstone at graduation.
