Computer science becomes compulsory in Berlin & Brandenburg

From 2026, computer science will be compulsory in all schools in Berlin and Brandenburg. As rbb24 reports, the move is intended to prepare pupils early for a digital future and to strengthen core skills such as programming and technical reasoning.

Berliner Wirtschaft profiles Train the Future

Sama Tanveer opened three Train the Future locations within a year, hired 14 teachers, runs the largest teenage hackathon in Berlin and is preparing teams for the World Robot Olympiad 2025.

Recognised for taking part in Girls'Day 2025

Train the Future UG received an award from the State of Berlin for its active participation in Girls'Day 2025. Through hands-on insight into STEM careers, the company helps young women build confidence and shape a working future free of gender stereotypes.

Top10 Berlin named Train the Future the second-best summer activity for children in Berlin in 2025 — recognition for a coding and robotics programme that gets children aged 8 and up thinking creatively, investigating and solving problems.

Recognised as a Digital School 2024

Train the Future Mitte Berlin was awarded the "Digitale Schule" mark in 2024. The recognition confirms the successful integration of digital teaching concepts and the exemplary use of new technology in the classroom.

Train the Future Mitte Berlin was honoured as a Digital School 2024 under the MINT Zukunft schaffen initiative. The assessment covered teaching practice, technical equipment, teacher qualification and engagement with parents, industry and the wider community.
