Is this course suitable for my child’s age? What if they have no previous experience? Will they join a new or existing group?

Yes! We place children by age and experience level: - Visual Programming (VP): Ages 7–11 - Python: Ages 12–16 - Robotics & Game Design: Mixed ages, grouped by skill Most children start with no prior experience — our curriculum begins with beginner-friendly lessons. Depending on your preferred schedule, your child can join either a new group (starting from lesson 1) or an existing group. To ensure the right placement, we always offer a free trial lesson.

Is 90 minutes too long for younger children? Can parents stay during the lesson?

The 90-minute format works very well because it incorporates short breaks, hands-on tasks, and interactive activities that keep children engaged. Children concentrate better without parents in the room, but you are welcome to arrive a little early — we will happily show you the project built during the day.

What language is used for instruction?

All regular courses are taught in German, and all instructors also speak English. If your child needs support in English, we are very happy to assist.

Can my child switch from Visual Programming to Python?

Yes — children can switch from Visual Programming to Python as soon as they are ready. Parents receive weekly updates, progress reports, and project files, which help determine the right transition point together with the teachers.

Can we start on a monthly basis? What happens if my child does not enjoy the course? Are sibling discounts available? What is included in the price?

Robotics Junior for Kids (5–7) in Berlin

In the age of AI, even the youngest learners benefit when technology becomes something they can build, test and understand. Robotics Junior helps children move from simple digital logic to real-world creation — where code makes a robot move, light up and respond. It is a joyful bridge from Scratch Jr. to hands-on engineering, building confidence, curiosity and early problem-solving habits.

Course content

Module 1. Meet Robo!

Discover the Main Block, modules and connectors, build a first robot and understand each part. Control your creation in the Robo Live App and explore how the hardware works together.

Module 2. First Coding with Sound + Light

Understand what a program is, use action blocks for sounds and visuals, create simple sequences of actions, and turn a sequence into a loop.

Module 3. Movement + Robo-car Design

Build a Robo-car with modular blocks, use Drive and Turn actions with confidence, adjust movement settings and test behaviour, and improve motion through repetition and loops.

Module 4. Robo Journeys + Parallel Actions

Combine sound, light and movement, explore parallel execution and simple states, design robots to solve playful challenges, and debug and refine their behaviour step by step.

Module 5. Motors + Interaction

Understand the difference between servo and DC motors, build task-based robots for specific purposes, combine sequential and parallel logic, and create robots that react and interact.

Module 6. Final Invention Project

Apply the engineering design process, imagine a robot with a story and a purpose, build, code and decorate an original creation, and present the final Robo project with confidence.

Learning environment

Age: For children aged 5 to 7.
Group size: Small learning groups for a personal and supportive learning experience.
Format: In-person teaching in Berlin with real robotics kits — building, testing and understanding hands-on.
