Robotics Holiday Camp for Kids (8–16) in Berlin
The mBot Neo offers an exciting introduction to the world of robotics! In this bootcamp for 8- to 16-year-olds, participants use the innovative mBot Neo as their hands-on companion for learning foundational and advanced robotics and programming techniques.
What your child will learn
- Program and control a robot
- Apply sensors and AI fundamentals
- Build a robotics game of their own
Daily schedule
Day 1
Robotics adventure with mBot Neo
Programming and robotics fundamentals with mBlock. Steer the robot, design a maze and navigate the robot safely through it. Explore built-in sensors and visualize sensor data on the color display.
Day 2
Sound & sensors robotics – mBot2, mBlock5
Advanced programming techniques to control the speaker and microphone. A program to play back and manage recorded sounds. Independent navigation and obstacle avoidance with ultrasonic sensors.
Day 3
Robotics tour bus – mBot2, sensor programming
The mBot2 becomes an interactive tour bus, using a color sensor to navigate landmarks in a virtual city. Gyroscope and accelerometer are used to adapt driving behavior to road inclines.
Day 4
Create your robotics game challenge
Multiple mBot2 robots communicate wirelessly and compete in a color-search game. Set up a WiFi connection and use voice recognition to program a robot waiter.
Day 5
Artificial intelligence for the robot pet
How artificial intelligence works with "Teachable Machine" in mBlock5. A virtual ecosystem where the mBot2 robot simulates different animals.
